PUBLIC NOTICE – Closure of Alexandra Bridge to motorists

GATINEAU, QC, Nov. 6, 2026 /CNW/ — Public Services and Procurement Canada (PSPC) wishes to advise users that the Alexandra Bridge will be closed to motorists to allow for a detailed inspection. The closures will take place from Monday, November 9, to Friday, November 27, according to the following schedule:

• Monday to Friday, from 9:30 am to 3 pm
• On weekends, from Saturday at 7 am to Sunday at 5 pm

The pedestrian boardwalk will remain accessible to pedestrians and cyclists during these periods.

The Alexandra Bridge is approaching the end of its service life. Regular inspections are required to ensure the continued safety of the structure. These closures will allow crews to conduct the inspection safely.

The schedule may change depending on weather conditions or the progress of the inspection.

PSPC encourages users to exercise caution when travelling on the crossing and thanks them for their patience.
