Traction Conference to Move Down the Road From Vancouver to San Francisco

tractionconfThe Traction conference, staged by Launch Academy and Boast Capital in Vancouver on June 18, will be moving the show down the road to San Francisco on October 8, to present over 20 founders and “growth experts”.

The San Francisco Traction conference will be presented in partnership with AppDirect, a cloud service commerce platform that was founded by two Canadian entrepreneurs, and recently announced a $50m funding round led by Peter Thiel’s Mithril Capital.

The focus of the Traction conference is to push entrepreneurs to focus on growing their idea into finding market fit, ideally helping to develop the next entrepreneurial unicorn.

Conference attendees will learn, according to the Traction website, how to “Build a brand & product that people love; Pick the right marketing & distribution channels; Convert visitors to recurring users & paying customers; Build and scale a sales team; Drive revenue through resellers & partnerships; Leverage customer insights to cross-sell & upsell additional services.”

The Traction conference that took place in Vancouver on June 18 featured a packed roster of speakers, including Meerkat’s Ben Rubin, Hootsuite’s Ryan Holmes, Marketo CEO Phil Fernandez, and Linda Weinman of Lynda.com which was recently acquired by LinkedIn for $1.5 billion.

The San Francisco Traction conference boasts an impressive speaker lineup, including Zenefits CEO Parker Conrad, Credit Karma CEO Kenneth Lin, Eventbrite President Julia Hartz, SurveyMonkey President Selina Tobaccowala, Qualtrics CEO Ryan Smith, Honest Co-founder Christopher Gavigan, Evernote COO Linda Kozlowski, CloudFlare Co-founder Michelle Zatlyn, Buffer Co-founder Leo Widrich, SendGrid CEO Sameer Dholakia, AppDirect CEO Daniel Saks.

The event will kick off the evening of October 7 with an opening reception at Exploratorium on Pier 15.

Early bird tickets can be had until August 31 at a cost of $395.
