Nanalysis Scientific Corp (Nanalysis Stock Quote, Chart, News, Analysts, Financials TSXV:NSCI) is one of those Jetson’s-style, the-future-is now-type of stories. Most people know what an MRI machine in a hospital does, but most of us don’t know that these devices are used across a variety of industries. We also probably aren’t aware that aren’t the size of houses anymore, either.
Nanalysis CEO Sean Krakiwsky sat down with Amber Mac at Cantech 24 on October 9 in Toronto to explain.
“We make portable MRI machines for industrial applications,” the CEO said. “Most people know MRI machines that are these large things in hospitals and they operate on human beings. What most people don’t know is that those large MRI machines are used in every industry in the world, like pharmaceuticals, food and petrochemicals, and they’re used to determine what molecules are in a substance of interest.”
Krakiwsky explained that what Nanalysis has done is miniaturized those machines -down to the size of a toaster in some instances- in variety of industries.
“We have sold well over a thousand of these things. We’re just getting started and we expect to see huge growth going forward,” he added.
