Frank & Oak opening flagship store in Vancouver’s Gastown

Frank&OakVancouverMontreal-based fashion retail innovator Frank & Oak is opening a 2,400 square foot flagship store in Vancouver’s Gastown neighbourhood, on West Cordova Street, with a grand opening scheduled for Saturday morning at 10:00 a.m.

Frank & Oak tested Vancouver’s waters earlier this year, opening a pop-up shop on nearby Abbott Street.

The new flagship store will feature a juice bar, a barbershop and a space for hosting community activities.

Frank & Oak began as an eCommerce company, working social media and online platforms before launching its brand into the brick-and-mortar physical world.

While the retail world in general has been struggling to keep its real-world locations alive in the age of eCommerce, Frank & Oak has proven that a smart use of technology can lead not only to expansion of its brand’s physical presence, but also enhance customer engagement with both online and in the real world.

Frank & Oak took the top spot in Deloitte’s 2015 Fast 50 list of Canadian entrepreneurial tech innovators, with an insane growth rate of 18,480%, followed by Richmond, B.C.’s Corvus Energy with 16,943%, and Point-Claire, Quebec’s Amaya Gaming with 3,645%.

The Vancouver shop is Frank & Oak’s 13th physical location, after an expansion into the United States and shops now located across Canada.

Meanwhile, Frank & Oak’s website continues to offer its menswear line, through an innovative buy-what-you-like-and-send-the-rest-back approach, to anyone with a mailing address.
