BRAMPTON, ON, June 18, 2026 /CNW/ – The Honourable Sean Fraser, Minister of Justice and Attorney General of Canada, will hold a press conference on the passing of the Bail and Sentencing Reform Act (Bill C-14), with over 80 targeted changes to the Criminal Code. Bill C-14 is one of three major criminal justice reforms to receive Royal Assent this week, alongside legislation to strengthen protections against hate crimes, better protect victims and survivors, and keep children safe from sexual predators.
