The speech will outline the next steps for Canada’s high-speed rail project, including upcoming public consultations

MONTRÉAL, Jan. 9, 2026 /CNW/ – Members of the media are invited to attend a keynote address by Martin Imbleau, President and Chief Executive Officer of Alto, at the Chamber of Commerce of Metropolitan Montreal, where he will provide an update on the Toronto–Québec City high-speed rail project and outline the next phase of public consultations launching later this month

This in-person event, will take place on Tuesday, January 13, 2026, from 11:30 a.m. to 1:45 p.m.

Mr. Imbleau will set out what comes next for Alto, including the rationale for selecting the Montréal–Ottawa segment as the first phase of the project to be built, and how public consultations will help shape alignment and station decisions.

Following his remarks, Mr. Imbleau will participate in a fireside discussion with Ms. Isabelle Dessureault, President and CEO of the Chamber of Commerce of Metropolitan Montreal.
