Media Advisory – Government of Canada to announce investment in Alberta’s defence industrial sector

CALGARY, AB, May 11, 2026 /CNW/ – Member of Parliament for Calgary Confederation and Parliamentary Secretary to the Minister of Energy and Natural Resources Corey Hogan, on behalf of The Honourable Eleanor Olszewski Minister responsible for Prairies Economic Development Canada, will announce federal support to enhance and strengthen Canada’s defence sector capacities while creating high-quality jobs and economic growth in Alberta.

Parliamentary Secretary Hogan will be joined by Jeff LaFrenz, President, VizworX; Neeki Ryder, Chief Financial Officer, Canadian UAVs; and Clayton Myhill, President and CEO, Microlynx Systems.
