Canada Day: A Family Celebration at Montreal’s Old Port!

MONTREAL, June 26, 2025 /CNW/ – On July 1st, Montreal’s Old Port will welcome families for a festive and unifying day in celebration of Canada Day. The 2025 edition promises unforgettable moments for young and old alike, in a warm and friendly atmosphere filled with exciting new features.
A Thoughtfully Planned Family Day
Under the theme “It’s All About Family at Montreal’s Old Port”, the festivities will begin at 1:30 p.m. with a ceremonial salute by the Canadian Armed Forces, followed at 2 p.m. by a citizenship ceremony for new Canadians. The traditional Canada Day cake will be served to all as a symbol of sharing and pride. Starting at 11 a.m., food trucks will offer a wide array of dishes to please every palate.
Activities for Everyone
From 2 p.m., the Clock Tower Quay will be transformed into a fun-filled zone for the whole family: inflatable games, face painting, mini-golf, activity booths, and animations hosted by Parks Canada. New this year: a dedicated adrenaline zone designed especially for teens and young adults will open at 3 p.m. Visit the website for the full schedule.
A Lively Musical Evening
From 6 to 8 p.m., DJ Hools will bring electrifying energy to the main stage, joined in a special collaboration by artist Noche for a one-of-a-kind musical performance not to be missed.
Please note: this year, the site will close at 8 p.m., and the event will not include fireworks.
A Commitment to Sustainability
As with every edition, the event emphasizes eco-responsibility: recycled wood signage, reusable flags, and strict waste management practices all help reduce the event’s environmental impact.
