TSX Today, September 15 (ACB, ESN, WEED, NANO)

Today is Friday, September 15. The TSX is currently up 28.44 points to 20,596.28.

As with yesterday, the two stocks leading way are Canopy Growth (Canopy Growth Stock Quote, Chart, News, Analysts, Financials TSX:WEED) and Nano One Material (Nano One Material Stock Quote, Chart, News, Analysts, Financials TSX:NANO), which are up 13.2 per cent and 10.2 per cent respectively.

Yesterday, WEED said it would shed the money losing Biosteel sports drink division, an acquisition it made in 2019.

And NANO is still powered by the announcement that it had it had produced lithium iron phosphate (LFP) at commercial scale with performance results consistent to lab scale.

But also on the board is Aurora Cannabis (Aurora Cannabis Stock Quote, Chart, News, Analysts, Financials TSX:ACB), which is up 7.9 per cent on no news.

After free falling to just sixty cents on August 28, ACB has been in play since with massive volume days (46.1-million shares changed hands on September 12).

Shares of Essential Energy Services (Essential Energy Services Stock Quote, Chart, News, Analysts, Financials TSX:ESN) are up 8.2 per cent after the company announced it would be acquired by Element Technical Services.
