Rogers outage catches unsuspecting man with @rogers Twitter handle by surprise

Still no word on how widespread the Rogers outage, which began a few hours ago is.

The company, through its Twitter account, first said only Ontario and Quebec resident were affected, but later posted that people across the country were reporting that they had no service.

The interruption, which is actually Rogers second this year, has given Canadians an opportunity to play their second favourite sport; complaining about their mobile carriers.

One unsuspecting New Yorker, however, found himself in the middle of a stream of this vitriol, all because his Twitter handle is @rogers

Glenn Rogers, an Australian living in Brookyn who is the CEO of Float Schedule, took it all in stride though, tweeting: “Nothing like another Rogers outage to liven up my feed. *grabs popcorn*”
