Developing: There are varying reports of an outage of Rogers cellular service.
Global is reporting that Rogers cell service is down Canada-wide, while Rogers says the interruption are affecting customers in Quebec and Ontario only.
Rogers website is also down. This is the second time this year Rogers has experienced a widespread service outage. On January 9th, customers in Southern Ontario and Atlantic Canada could not access their internet for several hours.
London, Ontario’s AM 980 reports that “Rogers says it is working to resolve a “voice service interruption” affecting wireless customers in Ontario and Quebec.”
Vancouver’s News 1130 is reporting that Rogers cell service is down “in parts of B.C.”.
Minutes ago, Rogers customer service tweeted this, which contradicts the Global report.
UPDATE 8:05 EST: Rogers, through their Twitter account, has confirmed the outage is indeed national.
