TORONTO, Oct. 1, 2026 /CNW/ — Toronto Pearson is building the next generation of aviation talent through its annual Career Expo by connecting young people and job seekers with employers across one of Canada’s largest and most diverse employment hubs.

Toronto Pearson Career Expo helps build the workforce of the future

Hosted at the Toronto Congress Centre, the 2026 Career Expo is bringing together more than 50 employers, employment service providers and community organizations to showcase career opportunities and pathways into the airport industry.

“The Toronto Pearson Career Expo gives job seekers an opportunity to explore the wide range of careers available across the airport ecosystem and connects them directly with employers,” said Karen Mazurkewich, Vice-President, Stakeholder Relations and Communications, Toronto Pearson. “As Pearson continues with its robust capital investment program Pearson LIFT to meet forecasted demand, we’re committed to creating new pathways for people to build meaningful, long-term careers.”

Pearson is home to more than 52,000 employees, and that number is expected to grow as Pearson LIFT (Long-term Investment in Facilities and Terminals) advances, bringing approximately 16,000 additional jobs across the airport ecosystem by the early-to-mid 2030s.

Creating meaningful career pathways for young people

The job expo also provides opportunities for young people to explore careers at Toronto Pearson by highlighting the education, skills and pathways that can lead to meaningful careers. Through a range of youth-focused activities, it helps raise awareness of the diverse opportunities available across the airport ecosystem and inspires the next generation of talent.

As part of the event, Toronto Pearson has partnered with Seneca Polytechnic and Youth Employment Services (YES) to deliver interactive Youth Career Discovery activations for students from Judith Nyman Secondary School. Through these sessions, students will explore education and career pathways, build awareness of transferable skills and connect with opportunities across Toronto Pearson’s broader “City of Careers.” ACCES Employment and Achēv will also participate in the Career Expo, providing young people and job seekers with job-readiness support, career guidance and connections to employment opportunities.

The Toronto Pearson Career Expo is supported by Ontario’s Skills Development Fund through the Ministry of Labour, Immigration, Training and Skills Development.
