OTTAWA, ON, Oct. 21, 2025 /CNW/ – The Honourable Sean Fraser, Minister of Justice and Attorney General of Canada, will hold a press conference on a new bill to make bail laws stricter and toughen sentencing laws entitled the Bail and Sentencing Reform Act.
A media availability will follow the event.
Prior to the press conference, Government of Canada officials will hold an embargoed virtual technical briefing for media to provide information and answer questions on the bill.
The briefing will be on background only and is not for attribution.
