New millionaires across Québec thanks to Loto-Québec, including three being sought after last night’s draws
MONTRÉAL, Sept. 24, 2026 /CNW/ — 2026 is shaping up to be a very promising year for lottery players across Québec. The lottery has made 110 new millionaires since the beginning of the year. By this time last year, Québec had 69 new millionaires.
This summer alone, dozens of Quebecers shared jackpots of $25 million, $40 million and $55 million. Loto-Québec is very proud to generate significant benefits for communities and enable many families to enjoy lottery wins.
Hailing from 16 regions across Québec, this year’s new millionaires have taken home a total of $219 million in lottery prizes. It is also worth noting that during fiscal year 2025–2026, a record $1.9 billion in prizes was awarded to lottery winners.
Last night’s Lotto 6/49 draw saw both the $5 million Classic Jackpot and the $1 million guaranteed prize won in Québec, along with the $1 million Extra jackpot. That means at least three new millionaires will join the 110 already recorded in Québec this year.
A few standout stories
- In early September, Loto-Québec set a new record for the most millionaires crowned in a single day: a group of 49 strangers won $55,000,000 with Lotto Max.
