NATIONAL PROFESSIONAL SERVICES FIRM, MNP, EXPANDS PRESENCE IN EDMONTON REGION
MNP Joins Forces with Northeastern Alberta Based Firm
CALGARY, AB, Oct. 5, 2026 /CNW/ — MNP, one of Canada’s largest national professional services firms, is pleased to announce that it has merged with a large Edmonton region based professional services firms, with offices in Edmonton, Bonnyville and Cold Lake, effective today, October 5, 2026.
A total of four partners, Kelly Fowler, Lise Gratton, Angela Eistetter and Jenilee Melnyk, have joined MNP as partners, along with a further 20 team members. The team has been providing a wide range of professional services, including accounting, tax and advisory services, to private enterprise organizations of all sizes throughout the Edmonton region for over four decades and will continue to provide these services with MNP.
MNP has steadily invested in Northeastern Alberta since 1996, when it opened its first office in Edmonton, followed by numerous mergers which have led to locations in Drayton Valley, Fort McMurray, Leduc and Lloydminster.
Diana Render, CPA, CPA, Executive Vice President, Manitoba, Saskatchewan and Atlantic Canada, said that the move reflects MNP’s continued commitment to investing in the region:
“We are very happy to welcome the firm’s team and clients to MNP. Like our existing team across the Edmonton region, they have a deep understanding of the region’s business community and an entrepreneurial focus on helping mid-market organizations thrive. By bringing our teams together, we will be even better positioned to support all our clients and communities with a wide breadth of services.”
Kelly Fowler, CPA, CA, says the merger bolsters their firm’s culture and strengthens their team’s ability to support their clients:
“As we looked to grow our firm but maintain the culture, autonomy and agility that enables us to offer the tailored solutions our clients expect, we knew that MNP’s Canadian partner-owned and partner-led approach was the right fit for our team. They furthermore strengthen our current service offerings and bring additional technology and resources that will better position our team and our clients for long-term success.”
Founded in 1958, MNP has grown to more than 150 locations across Canada and delivers a wide range of services and specialized expertise in every sector and area of business. In addition to tax and accounting, MNP offers a diverse range of consulting and advisory services, including succession planning, estate planning, enterprise risk, corporate finance, valuation and litigation support, insolvency and restructuring, digital strategies, cross-border taxation, and much more.
“We are thrilled to once again be expanding our presence in the Edmonton region with this significant strategic merger.” added Jason Tuffs, Chief Executive Officer at MNP. “Northeastern Alberta is a key growth market for us, and with this merger we add a great firm that shares our vision, culture, entrepreneurial spirit and trusted business approach that define MNP.”
The team will remain at their current offices in Edmonton, making this a third location there, as well as Bonnyville and Cold Lake, which have become new MNP locations.
