Media Advisory – Report on the 45th General Election

GATINEAU, QC, Sept. 12, 2025 /CNW/ – Journalists are invited to a media lock-up that will be held by Elections Canada on Monday, September 15, from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. Eastern time.

The Report on the 45th General Election provides a technical description of the administration and delivery of the election held on April 28, 2025. From 10:00 a.m. to 10:45 a.m., journalists will have early access to the report (under embargo).



From 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m., Chief Electoral Officer Stéphane Perrault will hold a press conference where he will give a statement about the report and take questions from journalists.

throughout the lock-up (not for attribution).

Note: Journalists must respect the embargo until the report is tabled

in the House of Commons (expected shortly after 11:00 a.m. Eastern time).



11:00 a.m.–12:00 p.m.: Chief Electoral Officer Stéphane Perrault will give a

statement on the report and answer questions from journalists.
