Media Advisory – Government of Canada to announce investments supporting defence sector in Saskatchewan

YORKTON, SK, April 23, 2026 /CNW/ – The Honourable Buckley Belanger, Secretary of State for Rural Development will announce federal funding to support organizations growing the defence sector in Saskatchewan on behalf of the Honourable Eleanor Olszewski, Minister of Emergency Management and Community Resilience and Minister responsible for Prairies Economic Development Canada (PrairiesCan).

Secretary of State Belanger will also discuss the Government of Canada’s plan to build a stronger economy and make life more affordable for Canadians by highlighting recent measures to address affordability issues, which include the suspension of the federal Fuel Excise Tax.
