MEDIA ADVISORY: Be Part of Calgary’s Biggest Night for Children: UNICEF Canada’s Glow for Good Gala

Leaders from across Calgary will unite
to raise a record-setting $1.5 million in support of UNICEF’s life-saving work.
CALGARY, AB, Oct. 2, 2025 /CNW/ – Media are invited to join close to 600 of Calgary’s most influential changemakers at UNICEF Canada’s 33rd annual Glow for Good Gala this Saturday, October 4 at the Hyatt Regency Calgary.
This unforgettable evening will rally attendees to raise a record-setting $1.5 million to help power UNICEF’s groundbreaking programs for children spanning health, education, clean water, and child protection.
Calgary’s commitment to the world’s children is more vital than ever. In the face of a global funding crisis, it’s estimated that more than 213 million children in 146 countries and territories require humanitarian assistance in 2025 alone. The Glow for Good Gala is the city’s moment to stand up and shine for children everywhere.
The gala also celebrates a proud 30-year legacy of giving in Calgary–one that has raised over $20 million for UNICEF’s life-changing programs.
This year’s Gala features:
- A keynote address by UNICEF Canada President and CEO Sevaun Palvetzian on how UNICEF continues to be an unstoppable positive force for millions of children worldwide, many who are facing mounting challenges, crises and conflicts today.
- A stunning art gallery featuring donated works from gifted Canadian artists including Calgary’s Sheila Kernan, Curtis Golumb and Bev Rodin.
- A high-energy auction of 85 exclusive items including cutting-edge electronics to luxury vacations and once-in-a-lifetime experiences, with proceeds going towards UNICEF’s global work.
Formerly known as the Water for Life Gala, the event has been reimagined to reflect the full scope of UNICEF’s work, which has made it the world’s most powerful force for children.
