MAZDA CANADA REPORTS SEPTEMBER AND THIRD-QUARTER 2026 SALES
– CX-70 Sets September Record, CX-90 Continues Double-Digit Growth, and MX-5 Achieves Best September Sales in 11 Years –
RICHMOND HILL, ON, Oct. 2, 2026 /CNW/ — Mazda Canada Inc. (MCI) today reported September sales of 6,454 vehicles. The month was highlighted by a record September performance from the CX-70, continued double-digit growth from the CX-90, and the strongest September result for the MX-5 in 11 years. Through the first nine months of 2026, Mazda Canada has sold 56,148 vehicles, led by sustained growth from the brand’s core SUV lineup.
SEPTEMBER AND Q3 2026 HIGHLIGHTS:
- MX-5 sales increased 8.5% year-over-year, achieved the model’s best September sales performance in 11 years, and were up 5.2% during the third quarter.
- CX-70 established a new September sales record, increasing 25.0% year-over-year, while Q3 sales increased 10.4%.
- CX-90 sales rose 12.0% in September, increased 13.8% in Q3, and remain up 11.6% year-to-date.
- CX-30 sales are up 2.0% year-to-date, with 12,875 units sold through September.
- CX-5 remains Mazda Canada’s best-selling vehicle with 21,807 units sold year-to-date, up 4.5% versus the same period last year.
Strong performances from the CX-70, CX-90 and CX-5 underscore continued customer demand for Mazda’s SUV lineup. As Canadians increasingly consider both purchase price and long-term ownership costs, Mazda remains focused on delivering premium design, engaging driving dynamics, advanced safety technologies and long-term value throughout the ownership experience.
