Giant Tiger Stores Across Canada Rally Behind Local Schools to Carry Terry Fox’s Legacy Forward

OTTAWA, ON, Sept. 17, 2026 /CNW/ — Giant Tiger stores across Canada are once again rallying behind local schools in support of the Terry Fox Foundation, bringing a four-year national partnership to life in the communities they serve.

For the second consecutive year, more than 260 Giant Tiger stores will each provide $500 to support a matched local school and its Terry Fox fundraising efforts. This year’s commitment represents more than $130,000 in support, as Giant Tiger marks its fourth year partnering with the Terry Fox Foundation and continues its commitment to raising funds for cancer research and carrying Terry Fox’s legacy forward.

For Giant Tiger store owners and teams, the partnership is about more than fundraising. With stores rooted in communities across the country, teams are passionate about giving back locally and supporting causes that matter to their customers and neighbours. The Terry Fox Foundation is one of those causes, bringing together schools, families, customers and store teams around a Canadian legacy that continues to resonate across generations.
