NCM Investments portfolio manager Michael Simpson highlighted Jamieson Wellness (Jamieson Wellness Stock Quote, Chart, News, Analysts, Financials TSX:JWEL) as a standout Canadian consumer health brand with strong dividend growth, a trusted reputation in China, and limited exposure to tariffs.

Speaking on BNN Bloomberg’s Market Call on Oct. 3, Simpson described Jamieson as an “iconic Canadian company” with more than a century of history, founded in Windsor, Ont. He noted the company’s 2022 acquisition of California-based Youth Theory has helped diversify its operations with “very little or no impact from tariffs.”

Jamieson is also expanding in China, which Simpson sees as a positive despite some investor concerns.

“Chinese consumers are very careful about what goes in their body vis-à-vis vitamins and minerals,” he said. “They look at the Jamieson label, the purity label. Jamieson management has told me, anyone can do what we’re doing, but they pay so much attention to the process and purity. So that’s what makes Jamieson stand apart from their competitors.”

Simpson added that Jamieson has grown its dividend at roughly a 14% annual rate over the past five years. He praised the company’s brand strength and said he wants to see it “stay in Canada and grow.”

Jamieson Wellness shares have gained 2.61% over the past 12 months but are down 5.99% over five years. Of the analysts covering the stock, seven rate it “Buy,” with no “Hold” or “Sell” ratings. The consensus target price is $42.43.
