2016 Fundica Roadshow coming to a town near you this spring

The Fundica 2016 Roadshow will be rolling through 10 Canadian cities, stopping at Telus House in Toronto on March 4, an opportunity for entrepreneurs and small and medium-sized businesses to pitch themselves to a panel of some of the most prominent venture capitalists in Canada.
A winning pitch will be chosen at each city stop, with the winners receiving prizes including three months of office space in San Francisco, round-trip airfare to San Francisco, a pitch opportunity to VCs in the Valley and cloud hosting packages from CANARIE and IBM, and one year of Intuit QuickBooks online.
“We are very pleased to be organizing the Fundica Roadshow this year with our presenting partner Intuit,” says Fundica President Mike Lee. “We are particularly pleased to be visiting Toronto twice in 2016 and making stops at both Telus House and MaRS Discovery District. I would also like to thank all our partners across Canada who make the Fundica Roadshow possible.”
Fundica claims to have enabled funding opportunities for more 31% of its selected pitching companies over the past three years.
Participating speakers and funders at the Telus House event in Toronto include: OMERS Ventures, Fundthrough, PayPal Canada, Impression Ventures, SeedUps, FrontFundr, IBM, CANARIE, NACO Canada, Extreme Venture Partners, SurePath Capital Partners, Ryerson Futures, CFC Media Lab, First Stone Venture Partners, INcubes, Startup Toronto, Nethris Payroll Services, QuickBooks Canada, Blakes, BDC, Ontario Centres of Excellence and many more.
“The Fundica Roadshow is a tremendous opportunity for Canadian entrepreneurs, investors and funders,” says Extreme Venture Partners Managing Partner Sunil Sharma. “For 10 fortunate entrepreneurs across the country, participating in this initiative will be a game-changing moment. The Fundica Roadshow has a unique ability to span the entire country and unite people with diverse areas of expertise and a shared passion for technology and innovation. I look forward to attending both the Telus and MaRS stops.”
In 2015, the Fundica Roadshow travelled to 11 Canadian cities in 25 days, with a final destination in San Francisco.
The 2015 Roadshow was a collaboration of 65 Canadian accelerators and incubators, and featured 96 presentations, involved 1,147 participants, saw 144 pitches delivered to 124 funders.
