Korean enterprise infrastructure software provider TmaxSoft has announced its expansion into Canada with a Mississauga headquarters.
TmaxSoft specializes in helping companies and organizations, including financial services, retail, government, utilities and telecommunications, using legacy technology make the transition to a fully digital and cloud-based way of conducting their operations, as well as providing middleware, database and infrastructure software solutions.
“At TmaxSoft, we proudly commit 45% of our revenues to research and development, so it’s crucial for us to locate in regions that support innovation,” says newly appointed CEO and President of TmaxSoft Canada Inc. Satya Sarangi. “Our goal is to provide enterprise customers with leading edge and innovative IT infrastructure software solutions at optimized costs leading to enhanced business value and superior customer experience.”
Sarangi, who is a former IBM Software executive and also once held an executive position at Intel, worked for TmaxSoft for a year in preparation for the opening of the Canadian office.
In keeping with that commitment to research and development, TmaxSoft Canada Inc. expects to triple its workforce in the near future, creating employment opportunities across all levels of its operation.
“The City of Mississauga is proud to be home to TmaxSoft, a globally recognized and respected business,” said Mississauga Mayor Bonnie Crombie. “The professional leadership from TmaxSoft chose Mississauga as the leading destination to invest, expand service offerings, develop new and innovative technologies, and to remain ahead of the competition in the field of infrastructure software. At the City of Mississauga, we are committed to creating an environment where businesses can grow, thrive and succeed – and TmaxSoft is proof our efforts are working.”
The Mississauga office will be TmaxSoft’s Canadian headquarters, while its main headquarters is in Seoul, with area headquarters in 12 other countries, including the U.S., Brazil, the U.K. and India.
“We welcome TmaxSoft into our strong community of Canadian businesses championing the development of a robust and sustainable digital Canada,” says Karna Gupta, President and CEO of the Information Technology Association of Canada (ITAC). “Companies like TmaxSoft drive innovation and competitiveness in the Canadian technology sector, helping Canada prosper on a global stage.”
ITAC is an advocacy group for Canadian information and communications technology industries, and sees TmaxSoft’s Canadian presence as a boost for national technology hubs, which the GTA in concert with the Kitchener-Waterloo area obviously are.
“As we embark on securing an expanded Canadian presence, Mississauga and the Greater Toronto Area (GTA) was identified as the ideal location for our Canadian headquarters,” says Sarangi, “The GTA contains an impressive pool of technology talent, globally-respected innovation hubs and some of Canada’s largest and most cutting-edge organizations.”
Founded in 1997, TmaxSoft focuses on improving IT performance to enterprise and government customers, with an emphasis now on both traditional and private/hybrid cloud architectures.
TmaxSoft has opened offices in San Francisco and Chicago in the last four months.
