Vision Critical To Increase Work Force With Twin Job Fairs

Customer intelligence platform innovator Vision Critical is expanding, and growing along with its reputation, by staging a job fair first in hometown Vancouver and then in Toronto.

The company intends to fill 50 jobs via the immediate job fair, and to bring that number up to a total of 80 new hires this quarter.

“Since its founding in 2000, Vision Critical has gone from five employees to nearly 700 across over 15 offices around the world,” says Vision Critical founder and chief product officer Andrew Reid. “And we’re not pumping the brakes. We have 50 jobs open in our Vancouver and Toronto offices that we’re looking to fill immediately. We’ll be looking to fill 30 more job functions before the end of March.”

Vision Critical, which is hotly tipped to be one of a handful of companies that may IPO in 2015, has brought the field of market research into the 21st century with uncanny clairvoyance, developing leading-edge insight community technology and working with marketers and brands to grow their business through customer engagement.

“Over the last several years, we’ve seen that enterprises increasingly want to make more informed decisions with input form their customers,” continues Reid. “Vision Critical’s customer intelligence platform has been front and center in helping enterprises be successful, which can be witnessed through our exponential growth.”

For a lot of brands, successful branding efforts are often evaluated by tallying up social media numbers. Vision Critical, and the new wave of tech marketers which they’re at the forefront of, has talked meaningfully about the superficiality of obvious metrics, favouring quality of engagement over quantity.

One imagines they’re looking for that same type of quality in the new wave of hires they’re about to bring on.

“Culturally, Vision Critical is driven, energetic, youthful and fun, which is an important environment for us to maintain,” says Reid. “The talent we’re interested in bringing on board will be involved in working to develop winning products, support existing technology demands, work directly with our customers to ensure needs are met and more. It’s truly an exciting time to be at Vision Critical.”

Vision Critical’s strategy for keeping things fun include hosting hackathons, offering accelerated career growth and relocation opportunities to any of the company’s offices worldwide, and offering paid volunteer days.

The Vancouver talent fair will take place on Tuesday Feb. 24th at Vision Critical headquarters at 200 Granville Street, on the mezzanine floor, from 5 p.m.-8 p.m.

The Toronto event will happen on Wednesday March 11 at their Toronto office, at 2 Bloor Street East, Suite 1700, also from 5 p.m.-8 p.m.
