Dartmouth’s SimplyCast Adds New Weapon to Marketing Automation Arsenal

SimplyCast CEO Saeed El-Darahali

SimplyCast, a marketing automation and customer flow communication platform based in Dartmouth, Nova Scotia, has launched an agency workplace collaboration tool called Agency 365, after four years in development.

Agency 365 allows teams working on brand messaging to collaborate inter-departmentally on marketing campaigns.

Developed using input and feedback from actual agencies, Agency 365 is aimed at the top level of marketing and ad agencies. SimplyCast has taken note of the fact that 24% of Fortune500 B2B companies have adopted marketing automation and that best-in-class marketing companies were 67% more likely to use a marketing automation platform, according to Aberdeen Group.

Marketing automation is an industry set for growth, encompassing any number of companies in a wide variety of verticals concerned with developing and transmitting consistently optimized messaging around a particular brand.

Founded in 2009, SimplyCast currently employs 36 people. Sales of its most popular product, 360 Automation Manager, double monthly according to CEO Saeed El-Darahali.

Last summer, SimplyCast was rated one of the top multi-channel marketing platforms in the world by Raab Associates. This was after posting triple digit sales growth in the first two quarters of 2014, 266% in Q1 and 216% in Q2.

SimplyCast has been raising money organically through sales and by selling equity to its own employees, along with a handful of outside investors, all based in Nova Scotia. In 2014, it raised less than $1 million, but healthy sales promise to drive the company forward.

Meanwhile, the company seems ready to take investment from outside Nova Scotia.
