Tagged under the category “Rugged Phones” on the Bell Mobility site, the device is a 4G/LTE vehicle fleet communication device that delivers cellular voice calls, Push-to-Talk Over Cellular and data applications.
Siyata CEO Marc Seelenfreund says the device will target commercial fleets and vehicles in industries such as oil and gas, mining, long haul fleets and transport.
“Siyata’s goal to provide customers with a safe, PTT-enabled device is an important achievement not only for us, but for Canada’s professional drivers as a whole,” he says. “The current status quo of multiple single-purpose hardware in a vehicle poses both a physical and mental distraction to drivers, and we are committed to providing a solution that puts safety first. The UV350 gives customers a reliable and quick connection to a single or group of drivers instantly with the push of a button, making it a less distracting more connected experience.”
The Bell launch of the UV350 follows on a number of notable successes Siyata has had with the device. The company in November announced it would be carried through an unnamed tier 1 Cellular carrier through a deal struck with Ingram Micro. The company then launched the device in Israel, through a partnership with Motorola.
At press time, shares of Siyata Mobile were up 5.3 per cent to $0.50.
