Farm At Hand appoints new manager following co-founders' exit

Farm At Hand and FarmLink General Manager of Technology Glen Kroeker

After the announcement earlier this week of the departure of co-founders Himanshu Singh and Kim Keller from Saskatoon-based farm management app Farm At Hand, FarmLink Marketing Solutions in Winnipeg have announced the appointment of Glen Kroeker as General Manager of Technology for both Farm At Hand and FarmLink.
Farm At Hand and FarmLink Marketing Solutions, a grain marketing service focused on consulting, analysis and direct selling opportunities to individual farmers, merged in November.
“We are sad to see Kim and Himanshu leave,” says Farm At Hand co-founder and CEO Mark Lepp, “At the same time we are happy to add Glen’s experience to our team and excited for what the future of the app holds.”
Unusually for a technology company, Farm At Hand has maintained since its founding in 2012 a policy of not sharing or selling farmers’ data with third parties without farmers’ explicit consent, insisting that they do not own user data, and that information provided by individual users remains each user’s property.
FarmLink also reassured users that their data will remain private and not shared with third parties during its merger with the Farm At Hand database.
“There will be no changes to the Farm At Hand data policies, or disruptions to the great service farmers have always received,” says Lepp. “We are 100% committed to continuing and building upon the exceptional user experience that Farm At Hand has created for farmers.”
Glen Kroeker brings more than 20 years experience leading teams in the development of farmer-facing solutions, most recently as Director of FCC Management Software for Farm Credit Canada.
“I am thrilled to be joining the Farm At Hand and FarmLink team,” says Kroeker. “The amount of positive change in farm management and grain marketing that both companies have brought to farmers is truly impressive.”
Singh and Keller are officially no longer working for Farm At Hand as of March 31.
