Intrinsyc Technologies introduces body-worn camera reference design

Vancouver’s Intrinsyc Technologies Corporation (TSX: ITC, OTC: ISYRF) has launched its Open‐Q™ 410 Wearable Camera Reference Design, which will enable the development of a body-worn camera product for law enforcement, fire safety, emergency medical response, security, military purposes.
“The Open-Q™ 410 Wearable Camera Reference Design is the ideal starting point for developing the next generation of body-worn cameras,” said Intrinsyc Technologies’ Director of Product Marketing Tom Kaboly. “The reference design is powered by advanced processor technology; enabling powerful processing, feature-rich innovation, yet power-efficient, performance. Utilizing Intrinsyc’s expert product development services, companies can customize products to meet their unique and demanding requirements.”
The body-worn camera is designed for recording events in real time, lets developers add encryption, allows for secure storage, data retrieval and analysis over a cloud-based system, and can transmit data to a local server in offline mode.
Playback streaming capabilities via Wi-Fi or an optional LTE cellular modem provides surveillance, proof of action, recording stops and arrests, sobriety tests, or interviews, over computer display, tablets or cell phones.
The product can be “ruggedized” for use in extreme environments, and can be enhanced with a lithium-ion battery pack, a docking station for overnight charging or for simultaneous data collection.
Intrinsyc Technologies provides product development solutions for embedded and Internet of Things devices, from concept to production, and helps device makers and technology suppliers accelerate time to market while reducing risk and cost.
