BlackBerry Classic beats the iPhone, says Kevin O’Leary

“This thing is crazy fast. It’s faster than an iPhone on email. Way faster,” says O’Leary.

The new BlackBerry Classic is so superior to the company’s recent devices that it begs the question “What the hell were they thinking for the past three years?”, says Kevin O’Leary.

Kevin O’Leary, who was on BNN this morning to review the device that launched today, says that after years as a BlackBerry loyalist, he gave up on the company and switched to Apple.

“BlackBerry forced me to the iPhone by making me use this Q and Z iteration, which was terrible,” he said. He described the surprise hit BlackBerry Passport as “better, but not good enough.”

O’Leary says the new BlackBerry Classic is “a winner”.

“This new Classic is a better version of what works in BlackBerry,” says the man who sometimes refers to himself as “Mr. Wonderful”.

He say there are several things that set the device apart.

“First of all, this thing is crazy fast. It’s faster than an iPhone on email. Way faster”, he said.

O”Leary says browsing the web on the new device is a better experience, and that it sports a better battery. He adds that the integration of social media and various email accounts works seamlessly.

“I don’t want to make this sound like a commercial for the device,” said O’Leary, who reminded that he has no affiliation with BlackBerry, “but it does it a whole lot better than an iPhone does.
