Charlottetown’s ScreenScape to Present at Dell World Expo in Austin, Texas

From November 3-5, Charlottetown’s ScreenScape will be attending the Dell World convention in Austin, Texas, showing off the result of a year-long collaboration with cloud-software firm Dell Wyse.

ScreenScape Connect is a thumb-drive style device, reminiscent of a USB stick, which connects to the HDMI port of a television. The plug-and-play device transforms any TV set into digital signage.

After the Connect device is plugged into any number of a business’ displays, the user can update or control branded display content either on-site or remotely, using a cloud-based content management platform.

“These days you see HD TVs everywhere – including in the store fronts, in the lobbies and in the waiting rooms of most businesses,” says ScreenScape founder Mark Hemphill. “ScreenScape Connect gives business owners, or the industry partners they represent, a flexible way to take advantage of place-based media, at a dramatically reduced cost.”

Aside from being an opportunity for Dell’s channel partners to show off their latest innovations and learn about tech’s latest challenges regarding cloud computing, BYOD, and network security, Dell World also promises to “keep Austin rocking with Duran Duran and Weezer“.

ScreenScape will participate in three presentations at Dell World. They will co-present, along with the Dell Cloud Client Computing team, on the topic “Innovations in Cloud Client Computing”, in the Hands-On Lab 3.

For Canadian delegates, ScreenScape will be presenting in the Dell Canada Welcome Reception, on November 4, from 3:00-5:00 in the Red Lounge.

The Charlottetown company will also be presenting ScreenScape Connect in the Solutions Showcase in the convention’s main exhibit hall.
