TitanFile Ups Its Game With Enterprise Release

For enterprises that deal in poachable information the challenge of collaborating on and submitting documents has provoked a surprising number of companies to advise clients or patients to stick to old methods of data transfer, as if the internet had never happened.Online document sharing specialists TitanFile has added a top layer enterprise solution to their collaborative, security-minded software.

If you’ve ever been struck by the absurdity of a particular company’s insistence on keeping everything within the on-site confines of their intranet, adding a distinct 1980s antiquated touch to their office space, it’s not as if they’re completely to blame. Security is, after all, an issue for companies handling sensitive data. For both them and their clients, TitanFile’s enterprise solution may come as some relief.

For enterprises that deal in poachable information, such as healthcare and insurance companies or law firms, the challenge of collaborating on and submitting documents has provoked a surprising number of companies to advise clients or patients to stick to old methods of data transfer, such as fax, paper mail and showing up in person, as if the internet had never happened.

TitanFile’s new enterprise-grade software, both PIPEDA and HIPAA-compliant (Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act and Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act, in Canada and the US, respectively), will allow both enterprise and client to safely exchange documents over the corporate firewall with a relative assurance of security.

“TitanFile simplifies compliance for organizations in two key ways,” explained Mark Dineen, CTO. “What you share, when and with whom is always front-and-centre. As well, every user action is recorded in a permanent audit log.”

Both cloud-based and on-premise versions promise to encrypt documents in transit, with additional features relating to real-time collaboration such as messaging, and also enable users outside the company walls to participate in group projects.

“TitanFile’s group communication capabilities move enterprise collaboration beyond simple file sharing,” emphasized Tony Abou-Assaleh, CEO.

The last iteration of TitanFile’s software, its Secure Deposit Box, was an attempt to put a human face on the corporate obsession with security, stressing human relationships over the need to deal strictly with impersonal folders. The new effort to scale up to an enterprise version represents TitanFile’s attempt to establish a leadership role in the lucrative and sensitive verticals of health, law and insurance.
