In September, Cantech Letter will be on hand for the M Partners Tech 12 Investor Conference in Toronto.
This year’s proceedings will follow the success of last year’s jam packed event, in which institutional investors heard from Canadian tech luminaries such as Art Mesher of Descartes Systems Group and Jim Skippen of Wi-LAN.
As tech flirts with a full fledged revival, this year’s conference looks to be even bigger. This year, a panel consisting of TSX Markets President Kevin Cowan, OMERS Ventures CEO John Ruffolo, and Wellington Financial CEO Mark McQueen will discuss the state of the technology industry in Canada.
The 2012 conference, which has been moved to a larger venue at One King West Hotel, also marks the return of Mitel to Canada. Mitel CEO Rich McBee will be on hand to talk about the company’s resurgence -and new TSX listing. Also this year a couple exciting private companies, Waterloo’s enflick and Ottawa-based Ackroo will present. Presenters confirmed at press time were Descartes Systems, Interdigital, Redknee, Transgaming and Telenav.
This year, M Partners is opening up its very limited space to Cantech Letter readers, who can register here.
