Company included on prestigious corporate culture list for eighth consecutive year
TORONTO–(BUSINESS WIRE)–Klick was last night recognized as one of this year’s Best Workplaces, coming in at #7 for companies with 100 to 999 team members. This year marks the eighth year in a row that Klick has been included on the list, which profiles organizations whose employees give them top marks for camaraderie, credibility, pride, fairness of treatment, and being respectful.
“We’re thrilled to be a Top 10 Best Workplace and want to thank all our Klicksters for making Klick such an inclusive, empathetic, inspiring, rewarding, and fun place to work,” said President Lori Grant. “We also want to thank our team for their ongoing feedback, support, and contributions as we continue to find new ways to prioritize our people-centric culture and enhance our modern workplace.”
The company is dedicated to providing its people with the best tools and environment to do outstanding work. It also has a team, called Klick Experience (KLIX) whose job is to proactively help foster culture and engagement across the organization through special events, celebrations, personal interest clubs and surprise-and-delight moments. Popular KLIX initiatives include Little Klickster Day, International Day of Happiness (with puppies in the office), and its monthly Klick Café vlog.
Klick also focuses heavily on diversity and inclusion, and philanthropy. For instance, it celebrated International Women’s Day throughout the month of March with activities like a private screening of Captain Marvel, Marvel Studio’s first woman-led superhero movie; an interactive Lunch & Learn workshop on body positivity, talking about self-care and body pride; and speed mentoring sessions with the company’s female senior leaders.
What’s more, Klick orchestrates quarterly cornerstone campaigns in support the Daily Bread Food Bank, Heart and Stroke Foundation, The Shoebox Project, and SickKids, and then dedicates each of the year’s remaining eight months to different charities as nominated and voted on by Klicksters on #GivingTuesday each year.
Today’s news comes within a month of Klick being recognized as a Best Managed Company, Best Workplace for Women, Employee Recommended Workplace, and Best Workplace for Giving Back. Earlier this year, Klick was also named a Best Managed Company for the 11th consecutive year.
The 2019 Best Workplaces™ in Canada list is compiled by the Great Place to Work® Institute. The competition process is based on two criteria: two-thirds of the total score comes from confidential employee survey results and the remaining one-third comes from an in-depth review of the organization’s culture. This offers a rigorous representation of the organization from an employee perspective, and an overall portrait of the workplace culture. Together, they provide crucial data relative to five trust-building dimensions: credibility, respect, fairness, pride, and camaraderie. This year’s list received over 400 registrations and over 80,000 employees participated in the 2019 “Best Workplaces™ in Canada” survey, rolling out to impact over 300,000 Canadian employees.
