When we decided to hold the first ever Cantech Letter Awards we were immediately faced with some tough choices. How many categories should there be? Which companies should be eligible? Should we simply take the ten best performing stocks and let our readers vote on them? What about revenue growth, is that more important than share price? Perhaps a combination of the two? Should a percentage gain in either be weighted more heavily to larger stocks? In the end we decided on two categories: Canadian Technology Stock of the Year and Canadian Technology Executive of the Year.
