2012 Cantech Letter Awards

On Friday, January 11th, Cantech Letter opened the TSX trading day with the winners of the 2012 Cantech Letter Awards, representatives from the TMX and many of the analysts who acted as judges for the awards.

The winners were presented their hardware at a gala dinner the evening prior in downtown Toronto. This year was the first to feature separate categories for the TSX and the TSX Venture.

This year’s winners were:

TSXV Tech Executive of the Year: David Baazov, Amaya Gaming

TSXV Tech Stock of the Year: Amaya Gaming

TSX Tech Executive of the Year: Thorsten Heins, Research in Motion

TSX Tech Stock of the Year: Avigilon

We’re very pleased to announce that this year’s Cantech Letter Awards, the third annual, will be hosted and sponsored by the Toronto Stock Exchange and TSX Venture Exchange.

Cantech Letter and the award winners will open the trading day on TSX and TSXV on Friday, January 11, 2013, with an official Market Open Ceremony.

Toronto Stock Exchange and TSX Venture Exchange support technology sector awards

Cantech Letter is pleased to announce that the third annual Cantech Letter Awards will take place on January 11, 2013 at the TMX Broadcast Centre in Toronto.

The event will be hosted and sponsored by Toronto Stock Exchange (TSX) and TSX Venture Exchange (TSXV). The Cantech Letter Awards recognize excellence in Canadian technology stocks. The awards are voted on by a panel of Canada’s top technology analysts and the readers of Cantech Letter. Cantech Letter and the award winners will open the trading day on TSX and TSXV on Friday, January 11, 2013, with an official Market Open Ceremony.

This year’s awards will feature four separate categories: Canadian Tech Stock of the Year (TSX), Canadian Tech Stock of the Year (TSXV), Canadian Tech Stock Executive of the Year (TSX) and Canadian Tech Stock Executive of the Year (TSXV). This is the first year awards will be presented in a separate category for TSX Venture listed companies. All companies listed in the Technology, Clean Technology and Life Sciences sectors on TSX and TSXV are eligible for awards.
