Berkshire Hathaway annual shareholders meeting live-streaming on Saturday

On Saturday April 30, beginning at 10:00 a.m. EST, Yahoo Finance will be live-streaming Berkshire Hathaway’s annual shareholders meeting from the CenturyLink Center in Omaha, Nebraska, a first for Berkshire Hathaway and its chairman, CEO and largest shareholder, Warren Buffet.
The Oracle of Omaha will be taking to the stage along with his right-hand man Charlie Munger to provide their usual pithy insights into investing, the nature of markets and the economy, and whatever else strikes their fancy in front of an already huge on-site audience, and now an unknown quantity who will be watching live from the comfort of their internet connection.
The event promises to be packed with stars from the entertainment world, or at least what qualifies as entertainment for someone of Buffet’s age, in the form of Ottawa’s very own Paul Anka, along with Chair, CEO and Chief Designer of Berkshire Hathaway subsidiary Kathy Ireland Worldwide, Kathy Ireland herself.
Also on tap from the entertainment world will be a presentation by “Breaking Bad” and “Better Call Saul” creator and Berkshire Hathaway Class-B shareholder Vince Gilligan.
Author and speaker Robert Miles, business journalist Carol Loomis, and Munger Tolles & Olson Senior Partner Ron Olson are also slated to make appearances.
And while not officially on the speaker roster, Bill Gates has already been spotted on the grounds eating popsicles and riding in a golf cart with Buffet himself.
Live coverage and analysis will be provided by the Yahoo Finance team throughout the day, kicking off with a pre-event show at 10:00 a.m., to be followed by the start of the meeting at 10:30 a.m.
There’ll be a lunch break at 1:00 p.m., during which Yahoo Finance will present a one-hour half-time report, before resuming coverage of the meeting at 2:00 p.m.
The event will be available in 1080p HD quality, in both English and Mandarin, with a VOD replay available on Yahoo Finance for 30 days after the meeting is over.
Twitter followers can chat about the event using the hashtag #BRKLiveStream.
