Vancouver based company Versatile Systems sells software to help retailers manage their credit and sales processes. The Company’s Mobiquity Suite of products manages retail issues such as shelf space efficiency, order capturing and inventory tracking. The Company was founded in 1993. Versatile’s shares also trade on the London AIM exchange under the symbol VVS.

The Company’s customers include retailers such as Staples and Albertsons, manufacturers such as Tyco and Mack, transportation companies such as Fed-Ex and UPS and educators such as Harvard and Ohio State University.

The Company’s products include signal processors, routers and aspect ratio converters. Miranda employs more than 400 people worldwide. The Company’s head office is in Montreal with facilities in the UK, in France, in the US, Japan, Dubai, Hong Kong and mainland China.

C-Com Satellite (TSXV:CMI) is on a roll. The Ottawa based company, which designs and sells mobile satellite-based technology for the delivery of 2-way high-speed Internet services, grew its revenues by 23% in fiscal 2008, while reporting a record eight cents a share in earnings. The fourth quarter of 2008 was C-Com’s 19th consecutive profitable Q.

Since September 26th, 2008, when we profiled our first Canadiantech company, the DVC Smalltech Letter is up an aformentioned 20.4%, while the TSX is down 15.6%

Since September 26, 2008 when we made our first pick, the DVC Smalltech Letter is up an aformentioned 13.1%, while the TSX is down 21.7%.
